SMS through email

SMS has become very popular now a days. But what I don't like about SMS is typing a long message with the 12 key keypad on a cell phone. If given a choice I would quickly send an email rather than SMS. But what if your recipient is away from computer and you quickly want to send a message? You can do that by simply sending an email to a special email address. You need to know what Wireless service your recipient is subscribing.
Here are the email addresses for the 6 most popular cell (mobile) phone carriers:
T-Mobile: phonenumber@tmomail.net
Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular: phonenumber@cingularme.com or phonenumber@mobile.mycingular.net
Sprint: phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com
Nextel: phonenumber@messaging.nextel.com
BPL Mobile (India):  phonenumber@bplmobile.com
Where, phonenumber = 10 digit phone number of the recipient.

You also have a choice to send SMS through Yahoo! Messenger. Checkout the following links:
