It's March 11 already and at least for me everything seems fine. This year the clocks in US changed 3 weeks earlier than normal due to a new legislation by US congress. All my computers (Linux, Windows and Macs) had been patched and they adjusted for DST correctly. But PC World is reporting that some people had problems with the new schedule. There has been a lot of talk about whether it really makes sense to have DST or not. I grew up in India and in Oct 1996 when I was in Germany it was quite strange for me to set my clock backwards; this was my first encounter with DST. I couldn't quite understand what was going on. And I still think that in modern times DST is just a waste of money and provides one more cause for confusion without much benefit.
